ok, so mm and md went to see porgy and bess last night..........with tickets given by a student....we sat up next to god, just a few rows from the top........lts of empty student seats, by the way........we appreciated the subtitles flashed on the screen above the stage.......else we would not have understood what was going on, even when sung in english....or gullah as it were.........beyond the songs like summertime, and i got plenty of nothin...........the songs were rather boring and contrived............so much for opera........i need never attend one again.........
