the boutiques........

ok, so we were slow today...and my partner said ....'why don't you go home early'......which really meant.....'why don;t you just skip this staff meeting'....but hey......i was ok with that....and so i called my mother and we went to lexington........when the going gets tough...the tough go shopping........however.........with such uncertainty abounding...i would be quite foolish to venture into a mall....so we made the rounds of the thrift and resale shops........amen...amen....and amen......today was the day to shop in thsi particular marketplace.....i brought home no fewer than 3 silk dresses. average price $5 each.........3 linen dresses....and several rayon ones that look like linen......and one that i must lose 5 pounds to wear......and spent less than i could have spent for a single garment.....lexington is the place to look for resale items....as lexington appreciates labels like talbots, jones new york, dkny, ann taylor, etc............i also bought 3 dresses for my daughter, who will most assuredly not like them.......but that is the way things are right now.......and after she forgets that i picked them out.....she will wear them to church as if she picked them out herself......today was a dress day......by the way.....i feel a career change coming on that involves wearing a dress....at least with sandals.....i do not think i could put on a pair of hose..........
