cut-throat......

ok, so my book club has selected 7 books for next year....after 3 separate ballots....and some harsh words......who would think that picking books would bring some of my best friends to name calling......i was referred to as a little too 'bushie' for wanting to link a trio of books together ( the red tent, davinci code and the secrets of the davinci code....) a low blow..........i did toast our host......with regards to a book he picked that i still cannot bring myself to read....atlas shrugged.......i will host our annual theme dinner on february 23....for hemingway's a moveable feast......one of my favorite books....and i did not suggest it......i pled the case of a heartbreaking work of staggering genius..........which we will also read this year.......other selections include a life of pi, angels and demons, galileo's daughter, and a few others i cannot recall.......thankfully we are not reading faulkner this year.....i detest faulkner......and we are reading a moveable feast.....maybe i will have a different drink with each course.....maybe i will go to the trouble to find out just exactly what is in a rum st. james..................
