the nearly empty nest.........

ok, so when acw goes back to lexington today.....we will settle down for more of the 1-child lifestyle.....until the end of the month.......when cayle goes to 4-h camp.....and we will have a week of no children whatsoever........frankly...i am not sure that i am prepared for this prospect..............difficult as parenting is, it is also a diversion.......a reason to leave work and come home as early as possible.......we will actually have to do our own dishes when all of the children have moved on.....maybe we will take turns again.....seems to me we did that pre-children.......of course......there will also be the missing element of drama.....without children who will be around to tell me that i am mean......remind me that i am too critical, too nosey, too strict, too forgetful, too thoughtless.......or not interested enough, too interested, lacking in parenting skills, or too embarassing to be seen with..........gentle readers......be aware that this blog was more about the cartoons than the about parental angst.........
