the visit....

ok,so this year's visit is over.....and i must say that i handled it less-graciously than any year prior......which means that i grow meaner with age.....or the situation grows more tiresome with time.......i suppose that i could manage to appear chipper/engaged/100% if i only had to be so 4 days a year..........but in reality...i am called up upon to be the mm on mornings after horrific hotflahes.....on days with incredible discord on my soon-to-be non-business.......and in moments of emtional dispair......so is it fair that this woman can come in for 4 days and play the disneyland mom....and get away with it......yes.....it is fair because that is how it plays out......and i am the mm who has laid the clothing on the bed...to be discarded........and this is what i signed on for........so i had better get over it.........
