last of the holiday off-days

ok, so today is an off-day......an inexplicable off-day.....part of a 4-day newyears weekend that followed a 4-day christmas weekend than essentially followed a 4-day thanksgiving weekend......i see the trend....but question the necessity.......if there is an extra day floating about, why not a 4-day labor day weekend, or a 4-day memorial day...........when the weather is better and i have not spent all of my available cash previously on gifts.....so shopping is ruled out for this day, as is cleaning, taking down decorations, and cooking.........that basically leaves exercise, taking back books to the library, and watching more of my alias dvds.......and maybe a nap.......and while none of these are bad options........i am not in any emotional or physical need for a respite........but i wasn't consulted, and i couldn't work if i wanted to, what with the clinic closed til tomorrow....so i will just drink my coffee and hush up........
