an extra onion......
ok, so i have really gotten into grilled vegetables this summer.......as an adornment to fajitas....or just to have grilled vegetables as a side.....and i love them so much that i have taken to cutting up an extra onion just to accomodate the numerous tastings that are bound to happen at the grill.......this evening i sat outside on the porch and tended the grill whilst reading the aarp magazine......which i would hesitate to mention were it not for the fact that i read almost every piece therein.......a [promising sign as magazines go....and i am somewhat of a junkie for glossy printed media.......i read about shirley mcclain......of course i would...her mother is one of the few women i have ever read about with the first name kathlyn.........and i read the piece about alzheimers.....and about cooking schools abroad.......and about women mothering children at nontraditional ages......not necessarily a subject that fits like a glove......but interesting nonetheless.....it would take a miracle, by the way.........and so i have no fears other than to be a grandmother earlier than expected/desired/explainable.......i have already ridden the exercyle 45 minutes and plan another 45 later on........when the onion wears off, i suppose....anything is better than the current aroma....sickingly sweet smells.......i am certain that my 12-year old is spraying copious amounts of pre-teen cologne...omg......but i digress.......gathering this brood together for a meal together is a daily goal.........and that is why at 7:28 we have yet to eat supper.....can't wait for the rest of the onion................
