intermission

ok, so i am giving iris a bit of time off.....as andrew has given me a stack of books he thought i might like to read:......i am already through most of post office by charles bukowski.....afterwhich i will read self-help by lorrie moore, then maoII by don delillo then slouching toward bethlehem by joan didion..then catch 22 by joseph heller....which i read once but cannot recall......andrew also encouraged me to find something simpler to try to read en francais....i do have a lovely book of watercolor flowers that accompany colette short pieces.....all are less than 1 page long......and as they are from some of my favorite of her works....this may provide short but sweet translation opportunities......andrew has encouraged me to work a bit harder at learning/relearning french.....and he asserts that it is not my lack of talent but my lack of dedication that keeps me from a 2nd language........ah well...so much to do before i grow up........
