christ-centered.....
ok, so......i am cynical enough as to be offended by the email from my least-favorite niece (i really like the rest of her clan...but i digress).....the message was to remind us the reason for the season.....which is hilarious given that christ was likely born in the spring....nearer to easter...and that the date for the celebration of the birth was chosen purely to appease the masses who celebrated saturnalia or the winter solstice...or both......it is an invented holiday at best....and so to belittle those who fail to give it due reverence is pititable.......
