not going to red lobster....

ok, so......my birthday looms.....and all i can say about how i want to mark the occassion is that i do not want to go to red lobster......the offer has been made....and politely declined....for a variety of reasons....starting with the fact that driving to lexington, even on a sunday,is annoying....and to go on a saturday night-when the eldest is not working- would be worse.....and so i am scheming up a luscious meal i can cook at home on saturday evening here at the house.....not quite sure what i want- sushi sounds good....though that would have to be driven down from lexington.....french onion soup also sounds tasty.....as does a simple salad with goat cheese toasts......good thing i am plotting early...and often about menu.....
