glass half-full

ok, so....we are in paris, without luggage(and therefore without our coats)......making the best of 40 degree rainy weather.....got bumped from atlanta flight; taxied to cincinnati with an ethiopian grad student named gal; almost missed that flight because they couldn't pull our luggage off the atlanta plane and the drive was delayed......despite all of this.....we had a marvelous lunch at musee d'orsay, have seen the newly remodeled l'orngerie, and spent a fst 45 minutes in the louvre antiquities section....it was warm and dry at that point....my daughter seems excited to recognize movie set sights....and that is just fine.....gives us something other than the weather to talk about......tomorrow, the louvre again and versailles.....so far, so good.....it may be miserable and cold, but it is still paris.....
