the table

ok, so my table-top mosaic project is done.....and the table positioned on the back deck in the exact spot where i like to sit and read the paper and watch for birds......when i say positioned on the deck, what i really mean is lugged single-handedly from the front porh around the side and up the steps......which was no easy feat for one person.....the table sat for quite a while on the side deck.....waiting for someone to come home to help....but i finally decided that if i were alone here eventually i'd have to do these things myself, and so i muscled it up the final steps by holding it up over my head.......the table had been a disappointment to me at first, because it seemed dull and dusty...but i glanced upon a bottle of linseed oil in the basement...and a little dab rubbed into each tile has made all the difference in terms of color and contrast.....wow!....martha would be proud....
