an end to the boredom?

ok, so......i realized last evening that my current doldrums are due to my current lack of reading material...yeah...there are all of those bookclub books...but i have already read the volume coming up soonest....and find that if i read the books too far ahead i have nothing to talk about when the discussions come around....and so i shopped about in the numerous shelving units in this house.....passed over the brothers karamozov (a suggestion from an offspring)...and chose instead the jane austen book club....mostly because i just read jane's biography and saw the movie, and because the film version is coming out this fall.......the book begins on the many austen's that each of the club members find when they read her novels.....the romantic, the ironic, the optimist, the realist, etc......i found the 1st chapter most amusing.....and that is all that i ask in a novel at this junction......
