sign of the times?

ok, so on my way home from work today i was amused to see a line of vehicles with for sale signs lined up outside the empty walmart and the video store next door......no fewer than 6 monster pickup trucks, several large sedans, and 2 rv's.......not a single gas-efficient vehicle in the bunch.....and one wonders.....what does the owner drive while that vehicle in question sits on display?.......are the owners working/living nearby...or do they park and hitch to work/home?......are the owners living in the rv's?.....maybe the primary residences are for sale as well......
