the end of the world as we know it?

ok, so......a small but vocal group of my workmates entertained themselves with talk of the end of time......they were adding up katrina to the san fransisco earthquakes to the drought in goergia to the fires in san diego...and they came up with signs of the last coming/the judgementday/wrath of a vengeful god.....what?.......when one person in particular started in about believing in a vengeful god....i nearly took her on......but that would just keep her going....and so i walked away......if for no other reason than to deflate her rhetoric.....now...if she wants to argue non-sustainable housing and the foolishness of rebuilding in a drought-prone area that has little water resources...or on a known fault...or in a hurricane-prone area......than we'll talk...but blaming this on god rather than on ourselves?...we have nothing to talk about.........
