george vs clara

ok, do...i have just gotten off the phone with my mother...who has not moved from her chair since getting the news that there are 4 pages of things wrong with her back........none that can be treated.....just 4 pages of data......and my mother has taken this like her mother clara would have......she is in a lay-down-and-die mode.....unlike her father...george would have taken this news like any other news...as just news....and he would have gotten up the next day as if it were a new day....and gone on.....i could call this man from columbus, or cincinnati, or d-ville...and ask him how he was.....and he would say.....pretty good.....despite the obvious otherwise...like being blind....my mother has chosen to see the world like her mother...and i am determined to see the world as pretty good even if i should be blind......any day you wake up is a good day.....worthy of praise.......
