snow days....
ok, so.....it is quite a show of personal conviction to drag oneself out of a cocoon-like sleep on a cold day when one knows that one's child has no school.....the 6:00 am automated phone call from the district office prevents any hopes of getting a few more winks before the 6:30 am alarm.....prompting a full 30 minutes of feeling sorry for oneself at having chosen a profession that does not give snow days.....
