head in the sand.....

ok, so i am avoiding the daily dialogue about the recession by listening to borrowed books in cd from the library....i have listened to a few cozy british murder mysteries, and am now back to hercule poirot.....yes, hercule is also quite cozy and therefore not much of a change at all....i have read so many of this series over the years, and have seen so many televised adaptations, that i am amusing myself by trying to figure out the killer in a work i have already seen, heard or read at some point.....i simply haven't remembered that little detail at this point....so for the time being it is like new to me....and i very much appreciate the entertainment value in these troubled times: free and easily accessible escape.....
