ok, so mm has perused 4 separate dk and rick steves books about florence and venice.............and none of these places lights a candle to paris.............they seem like places one goes in place of paris.......not in front of paris..........or because paris was booked...................i did not see anything in the guide books that would persuade me that i should really dream of a trip to florence rahter than a 12th trip to paris........................by the way...nancy alcock today asked me how much i spent going to paris.........................and then asked me did my husband know................so laughable...............
