lo, a rose ere blooming.....

ok, so.......after all of the dry and overheated weather......i actually have a rose in bloom and a few about to bloom......the rose in bloom is on the pink knockout rosebush that was supposedly drought resistant and guaranteed to bloom all summer......and the roses soon to bloom are the one's by stephan's door.....st cecilia and auguste renoir.......i watered this morning...since i was up early and the morning was fine.......watering just about assures the rainstorm predicted for this weekend so i had nothing to lose.......as i dragged the hose from bed to bed i pondered the future of each....rethinking what is there now versus what could be planted to create a more drought resistant and visually pleasing vista regardless of the season.....so many possibilities with gardens.....
