ok, so we were visited by the 'best of the bunch' wine distrubutor today....a family owned business out of lexington into its fourth generation...the current general manager came himself...the business came through his mother's people..he appears quite savvy about wine and beer.....we may choose glen ellen as our house white, which i coincidentally have in my fridge as we speak....we will be able to sell wine by the bottle,as well as by the glass, but the partially emptybottle can not be removed from the premises.......and we cannot sell unopened wine at all.....on the other hand...we can sell an unopened bottle of beer along with a carryout order.....go figure.....we will offer at least 2 other kinds of chardonnay by the bottle, along with sauvignon blanc, reisling, white zin,and both cabernet and merlot....maybe a pinot noir...with beer we will avoid bud and miller and coors in favor of something like ky ale, kronensburg (sp) etc. none of this can happen until we get our l.l. the distributor cannot legally taste wines with us until we are 'legal'.........
