ok, so i regret that i did not have the radio on.....as i missed jimmy carter's speech at the dnc.........he missed the televised slot.........i have the utmost repect for jimmy, an author, and activist, a habitat builder, a sunday school teacher......and nobel laureate...certainly a wise voice in troubled times............i did see an interview with caroline kennedy........the remaining force in a family filled with both promise and tragedy........when asked if she work for kerry in the campaign, she replied...'i have been working for john kerry' since i was 14 years old......'she has dedicated the remainder of her public career to the nyc educational system......she is so articulate..........and then there was hillary's introduction speech............my goodness, but that woman can deliver words so effortlessly....and so poignantly......she is so well-spoken, so passionate...so insightful....so remarkable.........for the right winger's to use her as their whipping girl.......send money so we can reign in hillary.....just shows you how dense the rich can be...............last, but not least.......was bill............one of the floor reporters with a microphone later mentioned overhearing 2 delegates from ohio gasp......'god, he's good'...........yep......the man is the ultimate orator................delivery, timing, substance, charisma.........he focused on his new status as a rich man.....and went from there as to all that gwb is doing to preserve his wealth.....on the backs of middle and lower class americans...........i have to give him credit for having the guts to take that path..........but it was quite effective..........it brought that issue out into the open.........and to bill's advantage.................he never once bashed bush......though he coined quite a phrase............'strength and wisdom are not opposing values'...........................implying that while bush may be strong enough to lead us in time of war, he has not a lick of sense...................of course, we know that...............but many fools may feel compelled to vote for him 'so he can finish the job'...................ecw and our friend mark went to see farhenheit 911 last night.................he came home riled up, just like i was 2 weeks ago...............these are the days when we must talk to everybody we know...about getting out and voting....for a strong leader, who has both wisdom and sense..............and the initials jfk.....i guess this reality has eluded me...........but i think we all deserve a bit of the jfk feeling of goodness in america.............
