missing wildflowers...

ok, so i came back yesterday from the wildflower walk at the refuge eager to look around our wood lot to see just which wildflowers are blooming in our little habitat.....i was somewhat surprised at how few overlapping species we have in common with the south-end of the county.....yes, we both have toad trillium, and dutchman's breeches, and stonecrop sedum....but we have a profusion of shooting star that was nowhere to be seen in forkland, as well as wood hyacinth, star of bethlehem, money plant (lunaria) and saxafragia......there are a few more that i have failed to look up in the books after all of these years....a white flower with a cut-leaf of some sort that seems to bloom early enough that i miss it almost entirely.... a curious disparity for such a short distance bewteen
