american red cross......

ok, so my middle child received a phone call today ....from the red cross.....asking him to donate blood.......the red cross appears to be the only non-governmental agency capable of handling catastrophe......the only check we have written in these last chaotic days has been to the red cross........fema should take a lesson from the legacy of clara barton......i once visited her washington area home.......still boasting cubbyholes for emergency provisions........my friend clara leonard-bowen celebrates her birthday today.....how fitting..................
