cancellation

ok, so....i got up fairly early this morning to make breakfast for our guests...and was delighted to find that church services were cancelled.....i suppose it is tactless to admit that one is overjoyed to discover that one's church has called off both sundday school and worship services.....but......to lie about this would be equally sinful.....and so i went ahead and read the papers, and worked on breakfast, and walked on the treadmill while chatting with my sisterinlaw....and then read more of the papers while we gazed out upon the snow-covered branches....i am so rarely at home on sunday mornings.....only on this rare 'snow days' do i get to bask in the special glow that permeates our back room on winter mornings.....my sisterinlaw was especially talkative.....and given that i find conversations that require little more on my part than smiles and nods curiously soothing.....it was an idyllic way to pass the time between breakfast and lunch.....and there is a major bonus to all of this family togetherness....my brotherinlaw replaced the light/fan/heater unit in our upstairs bathroom, which means on cold days ( like tomorrow) i can dart out of the shower into warmth.....oh my....such luxury.....ok, so...it is a bit after 2...i have already exercised, the dishes are done.....the papers read....a nap would just about take this day overthetop.....
