ok, so i was at cnn.com just moments ago when a black stain appeared on screen...it spread until a figure appeared and said' do you like to watch?' which then bled into fear.com......a popup ad...i am personally offended by popup ads......like the one that keeps coming up asking me if i am a smoker over 21..or the one that tells me that my netscape version is too old/slow/indifferent........at the time i was reading about the antiwar protests in d.c. and s.f.....listening to 'ohio' by csn&y, by the way.......there is a major generational gap that still exists when the word protest is brought up...my mother and brother see protests as bad/disloyal/just short of evil and i see them as a 1st amendment right/obligation.....the only demonstration i have personally attended had to do with legalization issues........anyway..... i am not in favor of burning down buildings...like the people at kent state at the time of the massacre remembered in ohio.......npr had a marvelous commentary this week about the draft...the speaker contended that the draft should be limited to children of families that make over $150,000 a year.......which will soon result in the banning of war altogether when that demographic has to sacrifice children......
