ok, so mm is feeling a bit rough this morning, what with driving to cincinnati and back last night........ecw and i attended a surprise 30th wedding anniversary party for friends of his......he started elementary parochial school with the groom.....played little league on a team coached by the groom's dad.........partied hearty with the groom all through high school........but the groom decided to get married rather than go to college......which seemed foolish to everyone but the bride and groom at the time.......ecw was the best man,.....though he remembers little of the event......we were glad that we made the effort to go, because we really did have a great time.......so many people ecw remembered from the old 'parish' neighborhood of st. ceceilia.......these people never stopped going to st cecelia.........even ecw's little sister and her husband were there.....that was a pleasant surprise...........the only downside to the evening was the smoke......at least 80% of those present (an estimate-i didn't count) smoked......constantly...........and drank hard............i amy have to burn my clothes....the stench of smoke lingers.....we did enjoy the music...mostly from high school and college.............just like an old-time singalong..........some were newer tunes.........something called booty call, in which many got up and did some sort of line dance, as with the electric slide......apparantly these are big in the cincy wedding circuit...........i was not moved to dance, however...........it takes a lot more than 2 glasses of wine for me to get up and dance............
