bon voyage

ok, so mm is just about ready to roll on this extended weekend trip to paris..........just need to throw the rest in my carryon...........the suitcase is eerily empty by comparison to other trips.....so i have either learned a few things over the years, the suitcase is too big, or i will be seriously underdressed......i have entertained myself by copying useful french lines in my little travel book just in case........just in case i do not want to get out my little phrase book........i am hoping that 25 years of trying to learn french will bloom into a 4-day bout of basic yet adequate transactions with people in museums, stores and restaurants.......one disappointment to report....i have worked feverishly to finish a baby sweater for niece nicole's new baby coner (conner?) crowley.....on the last sleeve i ran out of yarn about 5 yards too soon........this means that i will have to take apart both sleeves and make them slightly smaller....when i come back....unless some kind family member does this for me......(meaning my mother.....) ah well...........wish me luck and a safe journey.....i will blog from paris if a cybercafe presents itself.......and believe me.......i will toast my gentle readers at the first available moment if my plane lands safely
