mm comes clean

ok, so mm has made a big mistake, and needs some mea culpa time from her gentle readers.................here goes......when i booked my little 4 day jaunt to paris, i neglected to compare the dates to my eku class at danville manor.........i will return about 24 hours after my first class should have met......so..............i changed the syllabus to reflect no class on the first day, mailed 45 copies to students i have not even met, and sent the syllabus into the eku main office along with my contract........i thought everything was taken care of until i had a call from the department chair this morning.....she was concerned that my class may not have enough contact hours, and requested that i find subs for the first class as well as for danville spring break........she also questioned my habit of having a class for each chapter in the nutrition book (14), which allowed for there to be a few fewer classes than the sememster would have required (15) in the first place........i called out to the eku danville director, who assured me that i was talking to a department chair who is preparing for an accreditation inspection in 2007........and who also assured me that she was not concerned that the danville students were being shortchanged.with regards to clcok hours............the danville campus people basically told me to resubmit a revised syllabus to eku main campus, and then do what i wanted at the manor.............i feel much better..............
