bush supports plan b?

ok,so this from salon.com.......

President Bush said in a news conference yesterday that he supports acting FDA commissioner Andrew von Eschenbach's decision to "consider approving nonprescription sales [of Plan B] to women ages 18 years and older," the Kaiser Network reports. Bush said he "support[s] Andy's decision," and believes Plan B "ought to require a prescription for minors." This is the first public comment the president has made on the decision of whether to make Barr Laboratories' emergency contraceptive available over the counter. Think this public show of affection has something to do with the fact that the acting commissioner's confirmation has been held up in the Senate because of his political foot-dragging over Plan B?
