screening out sunshine......

ok, so... i will freely admit that i pre-judged those who asked about my weekend......with regards to whether i saw them as savvy enough for little miss sunshine...or not.......clearly, this gem of a film can only be embraced by those who appreciate a certain genre of humor.......and those who do not seem the type may not want to bother.....i rarely react this way to films.....the notion that i must protect the film from the unworthy........but my workmates soon divided themselves into those who shoud make the drive to lex....and those who shouldn't.........48 hours since my first viewing i marvel at the depth of the nuance....the memorable moments.......and i must state publically that i saw none of it coming.......which means that the scenes flowed naturally rather than felt engineered....and the characters seemed like they had loathed each other forever.........this is essential in an ensemble piece...the air of eternity...rather than feigned conviviality......or made-up dysfunction.......not that one can make up disharmony.......gosh darn i loved that movie.....
