j'ai besoin de demander?

ok, so we were slow at times today....and so i continued to write out the many ways i can express myself.....en francais....i have come to understand that i recall some verbs better than others.....for instance......i really like j'ai besoin de.....i need to_____i am also fond of j'aimerais......i'd like to....it sounds so polite...alas, while i know to connect j'ai besoin d'ecrire.....some things do not sound quite right when the rules of connection don't seem to apply (i refer to the blog title)...so what's up?...is that how one says i need to ask?.......is there a better way?......i am going to listen to cd#3 as i drive to and from louisville tomorrow....and i do not feel ready...as i have focused on je and have completely ignored vous or tu let alone nous......on the other hand, i do feel more comfortable with je veux, je vais, and je dois......c'est le vie......
