cats....

ok, so i dreamed last night that i was on a cruise......and i had our cat with me, and i was trying to hold onto her so she wouldn't not go over board.....not a likely scenario but you never can be certain in dreams.....and this cruise ship was curiously narrow....with tables for 2 against the windows and only a body-width aisle for negotiating the length of the vessel.....and somehow managed to get off the boat with me and into a cafe, where again i was trying to keep her in my lap, and again she escaped.....cats have been in our family discussion these days, now that my eldest has found austrian accommodations that are inexpensive due to the cats: he will essentially house-sit for 2 cats....an older female and a younger male.....not a bad deal for a fellow who is comfortable with cats.....our cat stayed out all night last night, and had to jostle for food with the big yellow dog....she is quite at ease with the dog.....and i suspect she caterwauls for food in her dish knowing he will eat it....a symbiotic relationship of sorts......
