the dead tree

ok, so...at lunch today...out on the side deck.......my mother commented on how we really need to cut down the dead tree that is just beyond the stone wall that may or may not hold up the back of our property.......we have this discussion periodically......on why we leave the dead tree......it is a clear destination for birds flying across the creek....and therefore we have an unobstructed view of a variety of birds...large and small.....and...given that the tree is hanging on to the side of a cliff....we see no reason to risk life or limb to attempt to cut it down......as i mentioned.....we have this discussion on a regular basis...which means either that my mother forgets why, or simply disagrees and revisits the removal to see if we can remember why it remains.....
