all's well that ends well..............

ok, so i am home from catering my church's wednesday night supper......with leftover lasagnas from sunday............and the rest of the evening is mine.....such as it is.......i am off to walk a few miles with my book-on-tape........and then i will thoroughly melt in the bathtub with a glass or two of sauvignon blanc.........the whirlpool bathtub is on the first floor, in the bedroom 'suite' that we use now as a guest room, and which we will use ultimately when we are too feeble to climb stairs...........because i am the one who uses it most, i decorated it in a way that pleased only me........walllpaper with a french feel, prints purchased from les bookinistes, and a large framed poster of an intricately embroidered waistcoat from musee historique des tissus de lyon........this poster makes me smile, not only because it reminds me of a day spent in lyon long ago, but also because the embroidered flowers sometimes seem to have hidden faces........the seamstress must have had a sense of humor........after a miserable day, there is nothing like a hot swirling bath.....not 'calgon take me away' because i especially like perlier sage and honey bath salts.................
