ok, so i negelcted to mention that my brother-in-law who hosted this gettogether not only had karioke set up in hte basement, the system wasn't even rented........ironically, his ex-wife and her new husband (attending for the sake of their daughter/guest of honor who recently got married) were obviously well-practiced in karioke...........my table of in-laws pronounced that none of us were drunk enough to get up and sing..........(true, as i am no fan of white zinfandel nor of bud light...........)one in-law laughingly said that maybe when she retires she will sing karioke out in her garden to try to scare away the deer who eat her rose bushes........we told her that she could amend her adt (security?) sign to read......this home guarded by adt and karioke.........i guess you had to be there......

speaking of all of my in-laws......ecw and i, as well as his little sister and her husband.....were the only attendees not discussing retirement dates.......his siblings are either in their 60's, or teachers who can reitre before 60, or professionally unemployed (don't ask.....) one sibling plans to be a walmart greeter when his wife retires in 2 years.....at this rate, when ecw and i retire, that whole crew may well be in longterm care homes..........
