a quantum fable

ok, so last night we watched a dvd from the library.....one that i wouldn't have grabbed off the shelf......called what the bleep do we know?...i am not quite sure whether it was a comedy, drama, or documentary....because the plot with actors like marlee matlin was interspersed with interviews with scientists, researchers, quantum physiscists....and with some woman who was channeling somebody else.........hmmmmmm........i wondered at some point was it a scientology film......but the quantum physics part was fascinating....the idea that my atom base can be reprogrammed chemically by my own emotional state.......i thought immediately of folks whose cancers have disappeared due to their purely and deeply positive attitudes........and the message by the scientists made a lot of sense in that light.......the opposite was discussed....that aging is response to a series of negative reactions/emotions.........and i have seen this also....folks who age overnight due to circumstances.........therefore i am determined to BE pollyanna....and see every glass as half full rather than half empty...just to keep my molecular self in the healthy, happy, and hopefully youthful mode......i have been curious about the youthful connection......what i had blogged in this very space i have erased....because it seemed to tempt fate with what i had to say.........but i digress.......i was also intrigued by the notion that we only see what we are programmed to see....and that reality is also very personal........many questions were posed....such as....is what we see when we close our eyes real......brain waves react the same way whether we see with eyes ipen or eyes closed.........hmmmm.........i admit freely that much of the information presented was suited more to MIT folk, rather than home ec grads from OSU.......but there were some simple takeaway messages for the masses........the closing song in the life of brian comes to mind.....always look on the bright side of life.......turns out to be stellar advice...........
