o,, so the corrections is becoming painful, especially the parts where it is clear that all the mothers and fathers involved have their favorite children and their least favorite children....there was a scene in which a least favored child had to sit and stare at his liver and bacon until he gave up and ate it (he fell asleep at the table)...the liver and bacon meal had been made in punishment by the mother toward the father, because he left her alone with the children for weeks at a time while he traveled on business.........the favorite child was forgiven the liver and played pingpong with daddy......this is painful because my brother was the favorite child to my mother's people.....he was the only grandson.......my aunt and uncle,,,to this day,,,dote on him.........he spent thanksgiving with them rather than with us, or his own mother.......i have no idea where this book is going, but it is sure to be a cathartic place.......
