ok, so ii am listening to counting crows...a long december...while i procrastinate.....i am supposed to be studying my sunday school lesson, as i teach this morning.......i am a bit disconcerted, having read the letter to the editor this morning that said something to the effect of so-called christians who own restaurants that serve alcohol should be worried about when they meet their maker at the last judgement.......i have taught sunday school for at least 12 years, which means that i have read the Bible at least once a week for that time-frame......Jesus said many things, but he never once addressed drinking alcohol nor owning a cafe that does so..........i also believe that when he raised his cup with his disciples at the last supper, there was real wine in his glass......not grape juice.........he personally turned water into wine...not just ok stuff but better than the groom's father had purchased for the wedding at cana.....clearly, i do not mind that the letter writer has not and will never eat at my restaurant.......that is his right...........but when he gets it in his mind that he is holier than the rest of us because he doesn't drink alcohol or enter businesses that do, i beg to differ.........
