frenzy......

ok, so.....i got home from work just after 1:00 pm...and i dove right into a frenzied cooking spree......more walnut cookies (had already made up the dough and wanted to get the bowl out of the fridge...).....i made stuffed portabellos for those who don't eat crown roast of pork (for monday)...and raosted a red pepper to stuff with spinach and goat cheese for those who don't eat smoked turkey (for sunday)....and then i made the stuffing for the pork roast, our traditional artichoke heart spinach casserole (in the traditional brown clay bunny casserole) and then i rubbed the catfish with cajun spices for tonight and made a scalloped sweet potato/white potato casserole for sunday, and made the trc cole slaw to go with the catfish.....and then i sat down....with my new paris access guidebook......i decided that mr steves ahd little else to tell me about my favorite city....but the access people cleverly arrange their chapters by neighborhoods....and i want to know what kind of dinner fare is nearby so that i have options....i have my favorite lunch spots are on the itinerary: musee d'orsay dining room, musee jacquemart-andre's dining room (frescoed-just precious) cafe marly, the cute place off giverny's parking lot...lunch is covered...but with supper i like to eat near the hotel so that i am not too far afield after dark......not that i have had problems...i have not...i operate in such a way as to avoid problems......i have almost convinced myself that the train out to versailles is obligatory....especially since my daughter saw the sofia coppola film......and i think she just might like giverny......abloom with tulips on it's first open week of the season.....we shall see......but all that is ahead of me...and i have still to buy stocking stuffers.....and actually wrap gifts.......
