merry christmas.....

ok, so.....the lovingly selected and wrapped gifts are strewn through three rooms....the breakfast dishes are washed and the counters cleared......the crown roast is in the oven....and it is time for the mm to relax a bit......i got up at 6:30 to make the pineapple kuchen, which is ever so much better when made the day of rather than the day before....and i was on such a roll that i went ahead and made the 2-potato latkes, and the maple-smoked bacon and the scrambled eggs before most folks got up......i am so stuffed on breakfast treats that i may not be able to eat lunch til mid-afternoon.......maybe after we have watched little miss sunshine and elf and the davinci code.......the best gift of all was my string of amber beads......thoughtfully purchased in st petersburg......they are just precious....... hopefully my small cadre of gentle readers are off to a merry holiday as well......
