making adjustments

ok, so...with all the rain the pond didn't completley fill up......a design flaw not a tear...seems the right side is not quite as high as the left end...and the water simply went over the low places on the right......must add about 3-4 inches to have both sides equal and the pond full.....my mom has a water lily that needs to to split...which i can add to the louisiana iris that is now in the pond......no fish yet.....wanted to make sure the new pump was working and the liner patent before moving ahead...plan to replace the japanese maple behind the pond with an oak-leaf hydrangea...tomorrow might be a good day to dig up the skeletal remains of the maple, even if i don't run out to lowes to buy a hydrangea....have lots of weeding at my mom's house to do before i can think about my own yard......my recently purchased garden shoes are a disappointment...the rubber is too flimsey and these shoes seem only useful when walking downhill....who knew?.....
