sunburn.....

ok, so i didn't see it coming...the sunburn i got at my child's morning soccer game.....with my body facing away from the sun...how does that work?......i didn;t notice the red until i came home and started in weeding my mother's front beds.....i did my goal- an entire wheelbarrow-full of weeds....and then i came in from the sun to find that my arms were also red.....i had actually put on sunscreen...but this only means that my burn came totally from the unprotected soccer game...not from the weeding...when again, my body was facing away from the sun......go figure.......when my spouse came home from work we moved on to the pond...added another 4 inches of height to the low end...then repositioned the rocks.....and filled it up to the brink......it is the fullest it has ever been......there was a small frog in the water when we started in working....and later on we found a toad lounging under the spent daffodil stems...a huge toad......i did spend time cutting back the spent daffodils...there were so many...and that chore had ot be done before i could start in with mulching.....of course, the plants i ordered online must also show up before i start in mulching.....i thought for sure i could do that today.....maybe monday?......but i digress from the pond....and its little waterfall....i find the sound of falling water especially pleasing.......water falling on my sunburn would also be nice......
