no rest for the wicked....

ok, so...i decided sometime yesterday afternoon.....as i shivered in a cruelly cold thursday workplace, that if i still felt the least bit achy today i would utilize a bit of my valuable sick time and take the day off......and so i dragged me and my sinus headache back to bed after the rest of our dwindling clan went to school/work.....and may have slept soundly...until i was awakened by the sound of something or someone on the roof.....omg....there was somebody on the roof...not the usual route of crooks to the stash....roofers?.....a notion confirmed when i called my spouse from under the covers.....he did suggest that i go out and greet these folks and find out if they located the source of our drip......but by the time i got out of bed and brushed my hair and put on something presentable...they had driven away.....the drip is not inside the house...more an issue with the front porch....the reason that many of the posts rotted out so quickly (if one can call 20+ years quickly).....and now that i am semi-dressed i will drive into town to retrieve an early dismissed child...and maybe go on back to bed when i am back home......i cannot swear that i feel bad enough to seek medical help.....just the side of sickly that cried out for a tad of sympathy......
