broken eggs....

ok, so....when i went up to the road through the rose arbor this morning to retrieve the newspaper.....i was saddened to see 2 tiny eggs splattered on the concrete below....and surprised to see mama mourning dove still sitting on her platform....possibly unaware that her task is now futile....there simply was not enough nest to contain eggs.....poor bird.....
