taking notes

ok, so.....i sat through the sermon alone today, as my spouse and youngest were taking their turn watching the under 5's in the nursery.....but i entertained myself by taking notes in the margin of the bulletin, much in the way our middle child used to take notes or draw buildings......my personal goal on this day was to take down the numerous country names that would be dropped by the annual guest speaker for a group that gives out bibles.....as per usual, the speaker asked us to pray that his group be allowed into muslim countries so that these folks can be 'saved'.....which seems a rather intolerant message in an age when we need to accept those who believe differently that we do rather than expect those people to change their fundamental beliefs....for the record, he mentioned 20 countries, though i think i missed a few as he rattled toward the close of his message....i should emphasize the his part, as only men can belong to this group....their wives may belong to the auxiliary......a curiosity that women are somehow not equipped for the passing out of bibles....
