hard work

ok, so.....i did go back down the road with my digging fork, and selected 6 sweet rocket plants growing so close to the road (in the public right-of-way) that the cars would have eventually smashed them down.....and i slipped them into a plastic shopping bag, and strolled innocently back around the circle with my fork over my shoulder.......and 'all the sudden' our neighbor (who has been working on his house for years and years) came ambling out from his porch and laughed as he asked me 'what on earth have YOU been stealing?"......and i showed him my ill-gotten plants.....and suggested he do the same before they are ruined and useless to no one.....it was a good laugh....this morning i moved 12 rose bushes from questionable locations to my new bed....most lacked adequate sunlight, or were in overgrown spots.....i have just gotten back from the lowes, where i bought 5 bags of mulch- the limit to what can be shoved into an accord trunk that is not quite empty......and i am heading back outside to lay down the seep hoses in the new bed, then mulch over them......i have a long list of garden projects, but i will be happy if i can get this one job done this afternoon.....so that i can shower, and sit back and enjoy what remains of the day.....
