social secretary

ok, so things are settling down into a summer routine.......get up, make coffee, read the paper on the deck.....update blog......go to work.......make supper.....take cayle to swim practice....answer her numerous phone calls....explain the cayle is at swim practice and unavailable......to the same people over and over.......we must be non-mainstream......in that we as a family like to go to bed early.....and caller seem surprised that we will not wake anybody up to chat on the phone after....say....9:30....or at least not the 12 year-old if she is in bed asleep......of course....with caller id i do not actually have to answer repeated phone calls......i can just pretend that the phone is not ringing until it stops........nice invention...caller id........in between phone calls i am trying to reconfigure my pda......which has somehow lost connection with the liscenses to legally downloaded songs.......this is vexing......so i have re-loaded the storage card with a whole new bunch of songs......and backed up the liscnces.....and pray-to-god that i can remember how this all works for the next time........i have recently started writing down passwords...because those that i do not use often.....like the ones i need to pay bills online.....they are used only once a month....and my brain is no longer capable of holding information in this sort of storage format...it is either daily use or discard bin............i have also discovered a new game on ths pda...called jawbreaker........just for the odd bits of downtime in the other county that i service on thursdays.........one does get tired of solitaire..............
