ok, so the democratic convention is the ultimate waste of time and money.......given that the candidates have been decided...the platform worked out.........if the candidates wanted to rally the faithful.....for $60 mil...thye COULD have hosted 50 individualized state events........1 per day for 50 days.........no worse than 50 stump speeches...gathering the faithful in each state capital could be combined with fundraising.....which could conceivably net $60 million rather than cost $60 mil............an afternoon of security per state would spread the cost burden from a single host city significantly.............just an idea...........i feel sorry for those bostonians.....having to deal with flak-jacketed troops for the next few days..............
