ok, so my new job has already given me a substantial gift...........they told me on the phone this morning that it would be ever so much more convenient for them if i did not start until august 16.....when a new pay period begins.....rather than august 9 when i said that i was available..........gentle readers.......this means 2 weeks off in the summer......in one lump...........which i have not experienced since andrew was born..............and that was 20 years ago.........and i was otherwise too engaged in having a newborn to enjoy the nuances.........part of the time we will be gone, granted......but we will be going to some of my favorite places............which include the bennington pottery factory, the crabtree and evelyn (sp) outlet in manchester, vt..yeh, i also like the coach outlet...........but my spouse does not........wouldn't a coach briefcase just be perfect for my new job?...............and blue mountain in the adirondacks.............we may just have to take cayle to see the grandma moses exhibit at the bennington art musuem............and maybe travel down to western mass to see norman rockwell's museum......i cannot recall that we have been there since the boys were tiny..........we were once nearly asked to leave the red lion inn in stockbridge during lunch because one or the other would not/could not stop crying.............all of these places are within a few hours drive of sister marilynn.......and she really needs to rest during the day...so we might as well take day trips...............for the next week, my mother has offered to pay me to sort out her attic.....now there is an offer............because we should probably just schedule a yard sale for that following saturday and dispose of half of what she moved from ohio..........but that would also require sedation (on her part...........) so who knows what i will do.......my spouse has also offered employment for the week catching him up on bookkeeping........and i would also like to drive up to cincinnati and visit my friend jane.............little time for leisure, when you think about it..................
